DownTube processes publicly accessible URLs provided directly by the user to retrieve media content. The application does not host, store, or distribute any media content. DownTube is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, or any other third-party platform.

DownTube may request the following permissions: storage and network access for downloading and saving media files, notification access for download status updates, and foreground service permission to ensure downloads continue when switching apps. No personal data is collected beyond what is technically required.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the application complies with applicable copyright laws and the terms of service of the respective platforms.

DownTube does not collect or store personal data on external servers. Anonymized analytics and crash data are handled by Google Firebase in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
